Trail Guide to the Body PRODUCTS

"The textbook, student guide and flashcards work very well together and give the students multiple, reliable sources.  The textbook, through use of images and detailed descriptions of palpation, assists students with different learning styles in learning the material.

The ancillary material, such as the DVD palpation video, is a great resource for students who would like to see and hear the information.  The continuity that all the Trail Guide materials provide, set the stage for a productive learning environment.

The texts can also be used as a reference in our hands-on classes. The students can open the text to the muscles being worked and easily reference the bony landmarks, attachments and the general location of the muscle."

"I am just finishing up my palpations class for this term, and have found your resources to be INVALUABLE! I did not specifically use your curriculum outlines because ours are dictated from our school administration and needed to be varied, however, they gave me some great ideas. Your resource books are fantastic - the best I have ever worked with, and they enhanced my class dramatically. I especially enjoyed your student handbook - although I used it primarily for ideas and quizzes, etc, this time around (I didn't have it on my book list for the class), I will be requiring my student to purchase it in the future so we can work through it as a class.

Fantastic work - we will no doubt be using your products for many years to come."

"I am in my second year of a physical therapist assistant school.  I use your book on an almost daily basis.  Every week, I leave lab perplexed and overwhelmed, but I know everything will be ok as soon as I've had time to look things up in your book. The beautiful drawings and clear instructions quickly cut through the fog, and I'm so grateful to have found this wonderful tool!

My educational experience is much enhanced because of it, and I would not be getting the kind of grades I am without it.  Thank you for publishing such an incredible resource!"

TRAIL GUIDE TO THE BODY TEXTBOOK

“Of all the texts I have used, I have never seen an anatomy text as practical and as hands-on as Trail Guide to the Body. The illustrations are superb. The bonus is the textbook facilitates the learning and palpation of anatomical structures through precise movement and light touch.”

Trail Guide to the Body Student Handbook

“The recent update of the book and the additional workbook are fantastic! It would have definitely made my life easier when I was attending massage school. As an instructor it is a dream come true to have this type of reference. We have made both the book and workbook mandatory for the students.”

Trail Guide to the Body DVD

“This is the first DVD I’ve seen that simply demonstrates identification, location and palpation of individual muscles. Since refined palpation skills are essential to the practice of massage therapy…this DVD is not to be missed.”

Lisa Mertz
Massage Therapy Journal

“This DVD supports the Trail Guide book and is an invaluable way for our students to grasp the body by showing the body and then overlaying the muscle(s) to be palpated. This skill is something that we talk about in a classroom discussion but without this visual aid some of our students struggle with visualizing the muscle; this amazing tool takes it to the next step and teaches to the massage therapist.”

TRAIL GUIDE TO THE BODY AUDIOFILE

"We are starting on muscles Monday and got homework to read in the Trail Guide.  With the help of the Audiofile, I am finding it not only fascinating, but fun!  Listening to the Audiofile makes it easier for me to learn as I follow along in the book.

I love the way the Audiofile brings the book to life for me.  I especially appreciate the summary for each section that includes Action, Insertion, Origin and Nerve ... these tools, along with the workbook and flashcards make for a win-win situation.

I wish I had all this when we started our course (through the cells and bony landmarks); regardless, I can now review all the material in a more organized manner prior to taking the test for national certification.

BTW, got 100 on the Bony Landmarks test yesterday ....."
